Gold investing is NOT for that guy. I have absolutely no idea why he continues to put himself through the stress and sadness it causes him. Sell and move on.
As he needs hand holding on bad days, look at the GDX today - add in the 55 cent dividend and it all pretty much lines up.
Golds are despised - EDV even more hated due to the recent CEO upheaval (and illegal strike) and ongoing daily legal news releases by law firms that just keep throwing out bait and hoping someone will bite. This all is not going to change overnight. it's all become part of the EDV algorithim and takes time to re-align. Like most liquid stocks now, a lot of the daily volume are the same shares washing back and forth. Concerned only with movement for pennies and not price discovery.
