Relentless Selling Explained

Some analyst at "Berenberg Bank" slashed the price target from $56 to $53. Quelle horreur!

In my opinion, I think the price decline is more likely related to Teranga people cashing out, either selling TGZ or shorting EDV. It's only normal that some sizeable number of Teranga people won't have the same emotional attachment to Endeavour. They've made a ton and are looking for newer greener pastures.

By the way, Ronnie111, I think you overlooked the soon-to-be-issued shares to take over TGZ when you calculated EDV's market cap. Just rough numbers, but 168 mm TGZ shares X .47 = 79 mm new shares of EDV plus 163 million will bring the new share count to 242 million. At $26 per share, that means EDV will have a market cap of Cdn $6.29 B , just about identical to Yamana's market cap.

Hi TT2, I think it's been confirmed there is no significant shorting going on.  When i last posted, the shorts on EDV have gone down from 3M to 2M - Nov to Jan.  Numbers not significant anyway.  If looking at the chart i linked to, perhaps it's a Nov/Dec 2018 scenario.  largely out of sync but snap back up to the gdx within a month or two.  My gut hunch is they ...more

You could well be right tC, but as an EDV shareholder I'm very happy with the deal. TGZ's anticipated 2021 production (~500koz) will add about 50% to EDV's production, so the exchange ratio seems fair to me. Moreover, I think EDV's operational & exploration expertise could really make Teranga's properties "sing". I'm really excited to see what EDV can do with ...more

Agree Marben Adding here as well In the end, all stocks are supposed to be valued based on their discounted future cash flows. I know of very few stocks that will be throwing off this much cash, going forward (assuming gold holds $ 1600- $ 2000) Everything in between is noise and mis-pricing (too high or too low) Teranga was fully valued (I road it from $ 3 to $ 15 in the past two years and ...more
