Best time

When Endeavour picked up Semafo , last spring, the share price dropped below $20 and I bought as many shares as I could quickly raise the cash for, and you had to be quick as it only stayed there very briefly.  Got a 50% quick return on that buy.  I was already fully invested in EDV, so had to do a cash advance on my credit card to raise a little more cash!

The present moment for Endeavour doesn't seem as urgent, but this would be the time to place your bets.  For awhile now the direction of the price of gold has been unclear , some fear a repeat of 2012 and 2013.  It is early in this prediction,  early is where the big returns lie, but we wont get that repeat.  Fear of inflation drove gold to spike in 2011, but the inflation didn't arrive.  Now we have inflation, lots and lots of it.  And we have Covid-19.  And the Delta Variant.  I am quite curious what the Epsilon Variant will be, I suppose it will be the one that gets around the vaccine.  But even without Epsilon, Covid is getting stronger or running wild in so many countries.  And America has dropped most restrictions ,with lots of places that are less than half vaccinated. The next big surge in infections in America will put a damper on the big boom talk I would think, and the Fed will put away talk of raising rates.

The odds of there being a Epsilon variant go way up when you have the situation where half are vaccianted and half are not.  To prevent Epsilon it is better to have no one vaccinated, or go from no one vaccianted to everyone vaccianted quickly.  Otherwise if you have  lots of unvaccinated and infected folk throwing off Covid-19 including  variants , and no one is wearing masks , than the vaccinated are going to be continually taking in Covid-19. And then all it takes is one of the mutations, of the trillions and trillions of mutations , to elude the defences the vaccine provides, and the vaccine becomes useless.  Perhaps a year later a new vaccine will be available.

Not to be  a doomsayer or anything, but if your going to be dead, may as well go out rich.  And if gold prices do go up as seems pretty likely right now, that should remove the last obstacle for EDV to achieve a share price reflecting the true value of the company.

I concur on vaccines and PoG. "...if your going to be dead, may as well go out rich.." I understand that they are working on a technology (perhaps a phone App) , where you can take it with you.  lol MM

Very informative article on Kitco by Sprott, if any missed it.   Yesterday I raised my target, sell it all, price for EDV to  a $100.  For awhile I was frustrated with the price action and would have accepted $50.   What Sprott said is mostly what most are probably thinking , but layed out in clear terms.  One thing that was interesting that based on EBITDA ...more

riskybznz On the Kitco site go down the page to Contributed Commentaries and at the bottom of that +More Commentaries   , and in there go to Dot Plot Mayhem   Sprott  July 9 One part I found interesting was his analysis of the recent breakdown in gold price and how it was made much bigger by the use of algorithms by many traders.  And why, as most people know, algos ...more

Another great writing and analysis by Sprott on Kitco.  Opinion 'You gotta have faith'.  It feels like his thesis is becoming more and more urgent.   And Covid is surging (NYTs word) in the USA.  NY numbers are still low, but seem to be doubling weekly , with the Delta variant, and this is with pretty highish vacciantion levels.   I am not quite ready to ...more
