RE: ELD Recommended today by David ChapmanWell I would say this. I do not ever buy a stock on TA alone. I either find a stock that interests me for some reason, and then look at the company to see if what I need to see exists, then I look to the TA. I personally will not buy on TA alone. It is that simple for me. However, on the other hand, I will not buy or sell without looking at TA as well. In other words, TA is a tool for me, to confirm what I might like or dislike in a situation, in terms of entry or exit. The arguments for and against all of this rage on, and there simply is no proven answer to my knowledge other than many isolated claims of success using fundamental or technical, and/or both to one degree or another.
What I do know is this however: discipline is the key to ANY systematic approach, and few have it, from my experience. That is, they often do not even follow their own rules less any advised.
As far as Riser1 and his comment re me. Well perhaps he is correct, but then he does not even know me, to my knowledge. What I do know is this: on this particular situation, I have given excellent advice so far, all one has to do is review my posts going back a few weeks, not days. Simply put, you would be in now, and up a nice percent, whether options or the stock. My stand remains: 10+ coming, whether on its own, a buy out, mine opening, gold going up, gold mine stocks surge and if there is a gold mania, which has not occurred as yet, the upside could shock some. You had to be around last time, to describe what happens. I do not count out this possibility, but certainly am not counting on it. Downside, limited to short term profit taking at this juncture, baring any particular bad news surprises. Volume and price say, up. Nothing is certain, but to date, right on target.
Cheers to all, and this should be an interesting week, with a bit of volatility to be expected.imo
