I agree that we will need for a long time into the future. That said, there are alternatives to oil use such as EVs in transportation, Government policy reducing the need for plastics and use of such things as recycled plastic to make clothes. This will limit future use of oil.
On the otherhand, increasing use of EVs will require more electricity generation using natural gas as renewables such as solar and wind have their problems. This is why I am bullish for natural gas and a bear regarding oils. ENB increasing it bottom line reliance on natural gas especially in the utility sector and reducing its reliance oil liquids (oil) is thus IMO a smart move.
