Electric Powered Vehicles ARE they economical?
I have not seen one EV owned by Hydro One, despite the cost of their operation would be less expensive than for Joe Sixpack. The charging of the batteries of them is subsidized by you and me.
So does this really give a credible proof that EV is a way to go as they are more cost-effective?
Doesn't look like Hydro One is convinced yet.
Can battery powered water bombers deal with forest fires?
I did not even raise the matter of the long-term disposal of the dead batteries of electric vehiles.

Takes 80 barrels of oil for the plastics to build a Tesla. That does not include the oil cost of digging up and smelting the metals for the batteries. The EV cars are heavy so the tires, made from petroleum, wear out faster and pollute rubber bites everywhere as they roll down the road with smug no nothings driving them.

Few other issues are they get dismal milage in cold climates and when the vehicle is 7-10 years old and the batteries are at end of life the vehicles are worthless as replacement bateries are more that the vehicle is worth.
