Yes, you can buy Monday and still get the dividend. Tuesday is exdividend day.

Ex-div day is Tuesday.  Buy Monday you get the div.  Buy Tuesday you don't. Go Enbridge!

I read this on investopedia. It says 2 days before ex date. Briefly, in order to be eligible for payment of stock dividends, you must buy the stock (or already own it) at least two days before the date of record and still own the shares at the close of trading one business day before the ex-date. That's one day before the ex-dividend date.  Thanks guys

As long as you buy before ex-day you will receive the dividend. Ex-day is the Tuesday Nov 14.... so buying on Monday you will receive the dividend.  Golferman

It's not uncommon for ENB to drop MORE than the dividend amount on ex-div day.  Place your bets, spin the wheel....
Comment by Unicorn9000 on Nov 13, 2023 10:26am
Yup but I hope not.

Today is a perfect example of the share price dropping more than the dividend amount on ex-div day. While everyone who owned shares yesterday is eligible for the 88 cent dividend, it cost them a buck nine in share price to get it.
Comment by Unicorn9000 on Nov 14, 2023 5:48pm
If you sold early you get at least half of the divvy and buy back at 45.50s. it is a win win trade. It will bounce back in a day or two to 47 bucks or close. rates are going to get cut early in 2024, possibly the next Fed meeting.

Well done! Go Enbridge! ;-)
