RE:RE:RE:line 5
Line 5 transports about 500,000 bpd of oil and refined products of which about 250,000 bpd goes to Canada (Sarnia Ontario), where it is feed stock to a major refining, petrochemical and plastics industry. Little or no alternative sources of supplies are available at this time and they will have to close. This IMO, becomes an international matter of great concern, as only Russia has unilateraly shut off a major supply line. Canad must and will vigorously challenge this, but who will lead the charge? Trudeau is the logical choice, but I think he will be very reluctant, as he fears loosing support and face with Greens. He probably is hoping Ford takes the lead so he can hide behind him. This will become a nasty Canada/USA political issue which Michigan will loose, and I think Whittmore knows it, but she looks strong to her Green supporters.
