Line 5 transports about 500,000 bpd of oil and refined products of which about 250,000 bpd goes to Canada (Sarnia Ontario), where it is feed stock to a major refining, petrochemical and plastics industry. Little or no alternative sources of supplies are available at this time and they will have to close. This IMO, becomes an international matter of great concern, as only Russia has unilateraly shut off a major supply line. Canad must and will vigorously challenge this, but who will lead the charge? Trudeau is the logical choice, but I think he will be very reluctant, as he fears loosing support and face with Greens. He probably is hoping Ford takes the lead so he can hide behind him. This will become a nasty Canada/USA political issue which Michigan will loose, and I think Whittmore knows it, but she looks strong to her Green supporters.
Little Justin should take a hint from his Dad...at the time the Americans were planning retalitory trade actions against Canada and Pierre was asked what he would do about it and he simply said..."if they do that...they will never get any fresh water from Canada and their midwest will become a dust bowl"..the Americans backed off. All Justin needs to do is to say that if she goes ahead with it then we won't ship any petroleum products from Sarnia to Michigan because we need it all for ourselves. That statement alone would send the price of gasline in Michigan skyrocketing!! Then we would see how strong her backbone is....who knows..it might even convince three dems in the State Senate to vote to impeach her.
What a new excellent idea! There is only a slight problem with this idea. In order to stand up to the Americans and threaten them, one must have a nut sack of relative size. Since this dude wears panties perhaps he is missing a nut sack!
I can't see him doing that but can see him phoning Kenny and Ford and telling them they should do it.
Cheers!
