Oil susidies part 2Cdn capex in 2019 was about 20 billion and is forecast to be about 15 b in 2020. This is against 3 b of so called subsidies which I call b... s.. Us capex was 98 b in 2019 and about 85 b this year. This is against 20 b of subsidies. I believe only a small fraction are direct cash. The others are what the haters say the industry should be paying tax on ie depletion. You all have done income tax and know the depreciation is allowed for all businesses. In Ab the haters say that royalties are too low and "deem" a subsidy of about 1.6 b. I seriously believe and maybe I've read too many Fiddy posts, the Russians and the Sauds are behind all this because north Americans are all the internet and too many are gullible into believing that our standard of living is a God given right. Sorry for the rant.
