The Dems will be extra motivated now to kill Line 3 just so they can add another feather in their cap of things they've taken from Trump. A little discussion to pretend they've listened carefully to all arguments, followed by the stroke of a pen, and that's Line 3 killed. Easy Peasy. Done. Next.
As for Line 5, with Biden in power, I'm quite sure the AG feels confident in shutting it down too. So what if they have to use trucks and rail, at least their water will be protected, right ? And that's the AG's goal isn't it ? So what if people have to pay more for their fuel, can't put a price on the environment now can we ?
Everyone's on a Republican hating rampage after the events of last week, so shutting some pipelines down along with impeaching Trump should make a whole lotta people really happy, really quick.
My question is : if even one of Line 3 or Line 5 get shut down, how is that going to help propel ENB towards these lofty price targets that keep getting thrown out there ? Even Morningstar last week with it's pie in the sky call of Fiddy 8 bucks , said that target is based on Line 3 getting done. Enbridge is a drama queen as we all know, so this could get dragged out for many years to come.
I'm sure we'll be in the red to start the trading week too. Might as well book end the weekend with a red close Friday, and a red Monday, right ? It's what Enbridge does best.
