Energy Oil & Gas Midstream

Enbridge Inc. is an energy transportation and distribution company. The Company operates through five business segments: Liquids Pipelines, Gas Transmission and Midstream, Gas Distribution and Storage, Renewable Power Generation, and Energy Services. Liquids Pipelines consists of pipelines and terminals in Canada and the United States that transport and export various grades of crude oil and other liquid hydrocarbons. Gas Transmission and Midstream consists of its investments in natural gas pipelines and gathering and processing facilities in Canada and the United States. Gas Distribution and Storage consists of its natural gas utility operations. Renewable Power Generation consists of investments in wind and solar assets, geothermal, waste heat recovery, and transmission assets. Energy Services provides physical commodity marketing, logistics services, and energy marketing services. The Company owns Aitken Creek Gas Storage facility and Aitken Creek North Gas Storage facility.

Maybe that is why ENB is expecting so few participants over 5 years from the millions of customers that the company serves in Ontario.

ENB is typically on top of pretty much everything they publish. In this case, it feels like they didn't really think things through.

Agreed...seems like a silly proposal to me and I agree with many of those who have posted on the topic.

The math they presented suggest that each person would save .06 of a car annual pollution. By comparison...I decided a while back to walk to the liquor store instead of driving and hump my beer and wine home. I expect that I will save more doing this than the ENB initiative and I will donate the gas savings each month the Food Bank or the homeless shelter (much more satisfying IMO and more tangible benefits)
