If Mitch would have had a gun, chances are pretty good that he would be hospitalized or dead right now. Gun or no Gun they got the jump on him.
Not having a gun may have saved his life.
It is a nasty evil world out there. More guns will just make it nastier, not better.

The bad guys are armed already, perhaps if they thought some of the good people were armed, they might think twice about jacking their vehicles. Toronto has already reached the same # of car-jackings that they had for all of last year. If arming everyone to even the playing field a little isn't the answer, I don't know what is.
