Infrastructure Improving at Eastmain's Gold Deposits

Eastmain Resources Inc. (TSX:ER) is pleased to announce that is has received permitting necessary to convert its main drill access road to a permanent all-weather access road at its 100%-owned Clearwater property, located in James Bay Quebec. Permitting includes authorization for characterization of borrow pits to determine suitability of aggregate materials for road construction. Once suitable borrow pits have been established, final authorization to remove this material must be received before commencement of road construction. The Company expects to begin construction of permanent road access to both the Eau Claire deposit and the Clearwater camp during the 2013 field season. Permanent year-round access will significantly improve logistics for continued exploration at Clearwater and the future potential development of Eau Claire.

Eastmain would like to thank EnviroCris Ltee for its hard work and efforts in the obtaining of requisite permitting.

Eastmain is also pleased to provide an update on the progress of the Route 167 extension from the communities of Chibougamau and Mistissini to Stornoway's Renard Diamond deposit, a road that will also provide year-round access to the Eastmain Mine property. According to a March 27, 2012 press release issued by Stornoway Diamond Corporation, construction of the 240-km-long, all-season road is progressing in four parts as scheduled. The Quebec Ministere des Transports (MTQ) is on target for construction of Sections A and B, which will consist of a 70km/hr, two-lane public gravel highway linking the first 143 km of the road to Quebec's existing highway networks. Stornoway is ahead of schedule for completion of Sections C and D, the 97-km-long, 50km/hr single-lane mining road connecting Km 143 to the Renard property. According to Stornoway, all season-access is expected by the end of 2013. Please see Eastmain's website for maps and photos of construction of the Route 167 extension, courtesy of Stornoway Diamond Corporation and MTQ
