PD VS ESI

PD VS ESII started investing in ESI since April 2018 mainly for the dividends, not too concerned about the daily price movement.
As time passed, I have noticed how the Institutions have manipulated the stock with heavy SHORTING activity with the price reaching several new lows. Early this month I reluctantly sold all my shares....at a considerable loss, for the following reason:
If you compare the past 8 quarters, ESI has lost 3 times more per share than PD. The sales for ESI should be comparable with the addition of Trinidad. Unless I'm missing something, could someone explain to me why ESI stock price should not be the same as PD. I don't believe that the dividend is the only driver for the price difference.
I have not given up, however, on ESI......I will wait for a considerable price reduction and repurchase the same amount of shares previously sold. We should all expect a reduction in the Dividend.
What are your thoughts?
