As you know, I was massively invested in Euro Sun Mining from 2017 to 2019. ESM is one of the (few) companies which I know (very) well. I had even superficially familiarized myself with the national legislation in Romanian at that time, 2018. After the shares of ESM are quoted in the cent range and the completely incompetent CEO Scott Moore has resigned, I have now looked into a modest re-entry during the tax-loss-selling season. 

 

Result: Hands off! The Rovina project has been stopped by the courts until further notice. The crux of the matter: the local environmental permit was presumably issued illegally; those responsible were not authorized and had presumably committed procedural errors. The resignation of Scott Moore should also be seen in this context.

The court suspended the Environmental Permit on 8th of December (this means that the judge admitted that there could be some illegalities) and it will take about 1 year to judge this at Tribunalul Cluj and even if they succeed another year at Court of Appeal. So the permits are delayed at least 2 years... if they will win the

The stock price is where it is because of the usual suspects that keep the price suppreced. We are not the only stock that has had a tough go of things . Most of the miners have been manipulated down to keep the herd from jumping into them. The herd just keeps playing overvalued stocks that are getting ready to burst. I am invested in a project that is nowhere near the scale of deposit ESM has and it's 2.55 a share. I am on the fence on this thing but 25k in shares there is ALOT of hope this thing pans out.

Wrong.  They can exproriate.  The copany wouldn't be there and the CEO wouldnt have bought so many shares if that wasnt the case.

This is not such a definitive straight forward answer. I spent months reading their laws and it is not as clear cut as you state here. Stop spreading factually incorrect information here kindly, pleaseand thank you. I also have relatives, friends in Romania who I speak with regularly. Perhaps you can brush up onhow it works before acting as the "definitive answer" man.

I spoke to the CEO myself and it is the case - ESM lawyers know more than you.  The fact you have friends/relatives in Romania means exactly zero.  Romania has done expropriation before and you are hardly the first person to condescend to me that was subsequently proven wrong - it's largely a farce used by those in weak positions.  The government needs those jobs and they found
