Ex-dividend date is Sept28th not Sept27

iScotia and other sties have ex-dividend date as Sept 27th but the news release has ex-dividend date as Sept.28th.  Took advantage of the dip today to add.  I would imagine I would get the dividend and special dividend also because the news release should be accurate.  This is in the official news release:

Dividend Declared
Evertz Board of Directors declared a regular quarterly dividend on September 14, 2021 of $0.18 per share.

The dividend is payable to shareholders of record on September 28, 2021 and will be paid on or about October 5, 2021.

Special Dividend
Evertz Board of Directors declared a special dividend on September 14, 2021 of $1.00 per share, payable to shareholders of record on September 28, 2021 and will be paid on or about October 5, 2021.

Purchase date is not necessarily the settlement date...........which is the date used for divvy payment . So if order/purchase date was Sept 27/21 then the settlement date could be two to three business days after . Therfore you would not be eligible for any Sept divvy announced. Check your confirmation notice of purchase for settlement date
