RE:RE:It's alive!I have a friend who has a mother that loathed the idea of a nursing home. She detested it. Due to circumstances my friend had to place her mother in a nursing home and made a deal with her mother that after 3 months if she wanted to she would be able to come back to my friends. She had to have an operation. # months went by and low and behold the mother felt she had a new lease on life. Most of her friends were passed or infirm to visit her but in the nursing home she found a new circle of friends. A new life, a new meaning to getting out of bed and interacting with plenty of seniors she could associate with in body ,mind and way of life that she understood from her generation. She told her daughter that there would be scratch marks on the sidewalk if she tried to get her to move back to her daughters house and that lonely life of waiting all day for someone to get home from work or school. UNLOVED, not a chance. Her daughter was pleased to pay money every month to see her mother so happy again.
