RE: Mexican election: Charley Rose show.

RE: Mexican election: Charley Rose show.Hey Ziggy, I would not stress at all over the political situation in Mexico. Even if the conservative leader has left tendancies, he would not be able to just wave a wand and make sweeping changes. They are a democaracy and have to push any changes through the proper democratic channels. Any changes would have to be approved by congress! No way do they upset the mining sector - it creates too many jobs and the unions and hence Mexican congress just would not allow it. I was at ecu's AGM and the question was posed to their CEO. He cited the above adding that there is no way that there would be sweeping changes regardless of who took power. The mining industry is also very localised (by the various provinces) and they also have many votes and economic impact to risk any changes. Anywho, I think Rose is just drumming up a little fear mongering and perhaps trying to shake the tree a bit. Lots of news on the horizon and hopefully we can get north of a buck before September and then some discovery news will add rocket fuel to this baby! Cheers, BB.
