Linamar’s e-axle.

Linamar’s e-axle.Does anyone know anything about the mechanics of this e-axle?

I'm curious whether it is one electric motor driving one wheel, two electric motors driving two wheels or is there some sort of transfer cas (gearing) involved to make it a single motor driving two wheel?

All wheel drives have more or less become the norm in new luxury vehicles and I'm wondering how that will eventually be addressed by EV car makers.  I don't know but I suspect that the EV makers will eventually use smaller electrical motors driving individual wheels.  So, I wonder if the R&D people at EXRO are working on this issue.  Otherwise, how does the consumer gain the same safe traction control equivalent to the new ICE vehicles?

best regards
the fourth
