Budget specifics related to "growing clean economy" I see a few areas that Exro could tap into. It will be interesting to see if the "investment" referred to is applied retrospectively to costs incurred. A big number obviously.
Tax credits are generally claimed in conjuction with the the filing of the corporate tax return but can be filed separately within a specified time frame. I assume this program will be administered similar to the current scientific research and experimental development (SR&ED) tax incentives program but it might be a completely stand alone program. It should also be noted that these credits are fully refundable i.e. companies that are experiencing losses for tax purposes will get the benefit of the credits. For those companies that do have taxable income, the credits are applied firstly to reduce the taxes with any excess after applying the credits, fully refunded. We know where Exro sits in that respect. For now.
