We are seeking an organized and motivated individual to oversee the Logistics and Material Planning needs for our locations working out of our Calgary manufacturing center.

Reporting to the Director of Supply Chain Operations, the Logistics & Material Planning Lead is responsible for managing inbound/outbound, domestic/international shipments, and material requirements.
 
In the Logistics & Material Planning role, you will:
 
Ensure that the import/export process follows company and industry quality assurance standards for all domestic and international shipments. Booking and coordination of the most cost-effective and efficient means to import/export goods within expected requirements. Review inventories to ensure that material resources are consistent with production schedules and maintain inventory balances.
 
Work closely with Exro’s business units and various internal stakeholders. The Logistics & Material Planning Lead is the primary point of contact for all Exro’s logistics and goods management requirements.

Support other Supply Chain Personnel to achieve positive outcomes that align with the vision, mission, goals, and objectives of the Supply Chain Management team.
 
A successful Logistics and Material Planning Lead should be able to ensure the appropriate supply of cost-efficient and high-quality materials required to maintain steady production and product delivery.
Key Responsibilities Include

• Timely preparation of all required documentation (Letter of credit, Ocean Bill of Lading, Service Report Log, etc.) for export functions.
• Ensure that the export process follows company and industry quality assurance standards (CI, Customs, etc.)
• Issue statistical or detailed reporting for Stakeholders as requested.
• Setup of export/import shipments.
• Ensure the Stakeholder is provided excellent service throughout the shipment process including quick response to inquiries and problem resolution.
• Ensure that customers (internal and external) are provided excellent service throughout the shipment process including quick response to inquiries and problem resolution.
• Drive excellent performance with 3rd party logistics partners and internal teams through the development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives.
• Conduct regular meetings with 3rd party logistics partners and internal teams.
• Develop and coordinate processes, systems, and new approaches to enhance the service and efficiency of how we move goods to and from multiple factories, transload facilities, Tesla centers, and customers.
• Train teams on best practices and set the example of working from one playbook.
• Mitigate “one-offs” but know how and when to partner and execute unique requests.
• Preparation of required materials and documentation with aggressive deadlines.
