If you are referring  to the latest "innovation project" with a leading OEM, and not the previous Tier 1 European NDA, then that makes a lot of sense.  What I find particularly intriguing is the requirement for the motor and CD to  "specifically fit into a defined electric machine housing."  That suggests something novel..if not in design, then certainly in implementation.  Lots of possibilities here.
