RE:RE:What's amusing
Your posts, if not informative, are always provocative, quakes. I'm inspired to think deeper and broader as a result. This might sound kind of strange but I don't use market depth a whole lot. I find it more of a distraction than a help. I guess it's because I've seen bids and offers appear and disappear without any trading taking place. I've seen heavily weighted offers being taken out while there is hardly anything on the bid. And I've seen heavily weighted bids taken out with nothing on the offer. Truth is, I don't know who is placing those bids and offers, nor do I know their strategy. I don't know if it is the actual broker buying or selling or whether it is the broker's customer who is doing it. I have found that trying to gauge the strength of the market by weighing opposing board lots is very unreliable. It's kind of akin to estimating the size of the universe by counting only the stars that are visible to you, or sizing up a person's wealth based on how they dress. A really nice cover does not equate to a really good book. Just saying.... And no, I'm not knocking you... just adding my opinion to the discussion.
