Future Recoverable Expenses

The only reason I can see that CGX suddenly wanted at this point to clarify the dollar value of the future explorations costs tax credits now, is they are being discussed in a deal that would transfer these credits to a new owner. They are only good against future profit. I assume the same has been done with FEC to spell out their Guyana exploration costs and get in written agreement with Guyana what these future credits willl amount to, as they would be worth $100's of millions to a potential buyer who can carry them forward to offset furture earnings from the block.

Kcac1, I belong to a group of people with oil patch experience in whatever discipline that you can think of. Here's what we expected when they spud Wei-1. TD by late May, early June. Then multi-zone DST for about one month. No one expected a DST but you because they stated on their technical presentation pre-spud there wouldn't be one. No one does a DST on a well followed by 1. Maybe you need to educate yourself further on what happens with Deepwater operations and planning.

Maybe most investors bailed out of oyl when it was over $3 after they announced that they wouldn't DST Wei-1.Ever think of that or didn't people notice that the sp fell, especially when the well design for Wei-1 is for an appraisal well, not an exploration well like Kawa. Maybe your "experts" can explain the difference. Cloudy knows! I still chuckle at his post that they're ...more

I don't need help. You bag holders with huge opportunity costs do. I'll jump in when the time is right. I just need confirmation of one operational event. But "tight hole".

Kelvin, you post a lot for someone who doesn't know the Kawa & Wei timelines.
