Ottawa Citizen

Ottawa Citizen Interesting read from Ontario. Like others, Fencott is taking a calculated risk on being awarded a licence for the locations. Legal shops wont be like some of the dingy illegal shops, companies promise. Fencott calls the Fire & Flower shop design modern, clean, bright, safe. Because the stores arent allowed to sell online, the customer experience will be key, he said. Theres no reason to think legal shops will cluster in one neighbourhood because cannabis consumers cover a wide demographic, he said. Cannabis is for Canadians, and that includes all walks of life. We will be in every location that makes sense, which includes high-end neighbourhoods and not so high-end neighbourhoods. Its a very democratic substance. https://ottawacitizen.com/news/local-news/ottawa-councillors-alarmed-cities-wont-control-location-of-marijuana-stores
