Aphria and Orgainigram report earning this wk coming

The earnings for those in the sector are going to be interesting over the coming quarters jf, there is still a lot of pain for many out there as they try to become more FIRElike. Now as I was very wounded over your reference to me as being overly optimistic and as I don't want to grow up with a complex, with some reflection and a little Haze/Gee blend I came to the realization that you were ...more

I'm really interested as well. Last quarter OGI beat earnings and the whole sector had a massive jump.  At the least - maybe there will be some tidbits on the massive sales in March - which could propel the sector upwards. If you look at the shorts across the sector - even at these low levels, there is a huge amount of shares being held short. Across all companies. call it corona or ...more

APHA and OGIs earnings are for quarter ending Feb29 so it will not include much of a snapshot of the spike in demand due to COVID.  FIRE and CGC's will include March when they report mid May.

shorts would be higher if it was easy to borrow. Pretty easy trade versus the debentures for someone who isn't as forward looking as you and opt. It definitely blows up if the stock more than quadruples. That being said there should be some time to cover it if the stock starts going higher.

Agreed March should be very good joh, with product shelved pretty well country wide and selling out in short order in most areas but the SP won't do much....if we see the trend the same and better for current quarter, of which should be the case, with the trend looking strong going forward we will see SP northbound with staying power. There is still a lot of pain to work through for many in ...more

opt;     optimism is great  but 40 million Revenue sounds about right for the year!  to make the revenue list provided ....Fire needs a minimum of 12 million personally, 20 million SALES would be fantastic and show investors that they have finally arrived .... these forecasts of 100 million you call them guidance well  YOU CAN TOSS THEM  INTO  THE "GREEN ...more

Jfogarty12, So you think the virus has hurt FIRE sales as opposed to help given the surge in sales at OCS?
Comment by theTransporter on Apr 11, 2020 10:35am
The virus may have caused a desirable effect as it may have created: An overall higher demand for cannabis products due to people to cope with quarantine and anxiety People switching from black market to "trusted" licensed producers due to fear of contaminated product (the latter having strict HC mandated quality control practices) Companies with cash will outlast those in ...more

Just messing with you jf, optimism is necessary or why would one invest in anything but as long as it is justified and within reasonable measure....for me, FIRE has always been on the right track with quality of product, facility, etc and as the rest in the sector are now pretty much trying to right size to a FIRElike template in these areas, I feel more secure in that assessment...how much was ...more
