Wrong direction

As always, FIRE moves in the wrong direction.

Sector is moving onwards and upwards into green terrority while FIRE just wants to go into red.  Endless selling just continues with no end in sight.

Even if Q1 may be good, if it doesn't bring in the buyers, the sellers will dominate and control this stock.  Remember, 120 million shares were given for free to DB holders thus endless cheap paper that doesn't care where they sell.

The 116m shares weren't given "for free" to debentures holders. They paid off $63.5m in debt which was cash used by the company to build the existing business. Equity holders came out ahead on that trade as those shares are worth $15.7m right now.

Exactly right Method, thanks so much for bringing it to their attention
Comment by theTransporter on Oct 07, 2020 10:24am
Based on the volume of selling since those shares were released, and the size of the asks, the recipients of those shares seem to think they are not worth that much and just selling them for whatever they can get. Also love the fake bid of 300K that was put up to give some hope then just be pulled minutes later with ZERO intention to purchase.   Looks like buyers don't feel like ...more

That makes sense. They got in there for the arb and aren't long term investors.  New money should go into FIRE.DB. Maybe every half cent move matters less if collecting over 2 cents/share in interest per year.
Comment by puppymonkeybaby on Oct 07, 2020 10:44am
I was one of them that sold shares upon unlock. What would be the point in holding equity of this stock for the forseeable future?  Method, what are the tax implications if I hold the DB's in my tax free savings account? Will the coupon be mailed as a cheque? Or just sent to me outside of my TFSA with a promise to pay tax on it.
Comment by Method on Oct 07, 2020 2:25pm
You have a lot of advice for people for someone who doesn't know the basics. Just like most investments held inside a TSFA, the interest will be paid inside the TFSA and will be tax free.
Comment by puppymonkeybaby on Oct 07, 2020 3:27pm
I've never given financial advice to anyone in my life. Do not confuse my perception of a trash company and poor market conditions to be "advice." You on the other hand... you've been urging people to buy DB's for quite some time. This advice is showing to be poor, no? Thanks for the info on the TFSA. Even if it came with you being a cvnt.
Comment by Method on Oct 07, 2020 6:46pm
I don't give advice and my observation which I shared with the board was that the FIRE.DB would outperform the FIRE so it made sense for bulls to buy the FIRE.DB over the FIRE or for existing shareholders to switch. I think that has worked out quite well on a relative basis and will continue to. It's just math now. Anyway, sorry I bothered you. I will ignore you going forward. Ta ...more

We all know youre a number cruncher Method. Due to your years working in banking. A real stand up guy you are, Im sure. You're good for free info on the board here and there, but I wouldnt trust you as far as I could throw you. You see, you've sent a number of people to the slaughter house on those DB's. You justify it because it makes more sense than equity. Ummm do you think?!! A ...more

And with 487 million shares out, this is looking to be sideways action for a longgg time, even if revenues do increase 30% QoQ.
Comment by theTransporter on Oct 07, 2020 11:24am
What's the obession with some of you and "the share count will prevent this from moving up"?? There's so many companies out there with more shares outstanding than FIRE, but that hasn't stopped them from reaching their multi billion dollar valuations. A stock will achieve the market cap of what the market deems it to be worth regardless of share count. ACB with 1 billion ...more

totally agree trans. we do well enough share count means little.. as well the more longs take advantage of these prices the more shares held in strong hands.
Comment by George141 on Oct 07, 2020 12:43pm
..I sure did..have enough shares to pack 2 mules...now we wait for the good news...and when they come..I'll trade the mules for a nice brand new truck...and a travel trailer.

me as well my friend.. not much down side at this point ..a lot of us longs bought originally very high...been buying pretty steady for 6 months or so... I'm looking at it as two dif sizable positions . first I will likely be holding for very long term.. this second position.. more sizable than the first.. it will not take long to be very green on the 2nd.. that can be sold in chunks for a ...more

So much for strong hands, eh? You, the power bottom and George, the otter are just dying to dump those shares at the first site of green.

many are of strong hands.. but theres nothing wrong after a decent rise to partially unload..
Comment by Dunworkin2 on Oct 07, 2020 3:05pm
FIRE has no wow factor going for it, hate to say it as I am long and wish the company had something special. Investors are not rushing in to buy it, meaning little demand for shares meaning sideways action until big news starts to flow, if it ever does. If the news flows and one day we become profitable, the bottom line earnings will be shared among 487 million shares leaving mere peanuts ...more

The only real difference between these companies and Supreme is that people want to own those companies. There is zero demand for Supreme. Other than that, you're right. Good stocks will move regardless of share structure.
Comment by theTransporter on Oct 07, 2020 3:21pm
Of all the constant verbal diarhea you spew on this board, I'm surprised that for once I agree with you on this one.  Supreme simply doesn't have the market's interest nor are there people who actually care to buy this stock, otherwise we wouldn't be sitting at this level.  All the asks would have been hit with heavy buying whcih clearly isn't the case.

Happy you agree, Transporter. Its a bummer you didnt have the sense to listen to me at $1.70/share, over a year ago. Had you done so, you wouldn't have watched your 6 figure investment turn into 4 figures. You, like Vulcan and Opt are a few of MANY whom have allowed their enormous ego cost them a ton of money
Comment by vulcan123456789 on Oct 07, 2020 3:58pm
nothing to do with ego pup.. have time time to wait and the money to keep buying.. you see I change my situation without loosing .. cost average down and when it goes up the reward is much larger. let me ask how the exspert like yourself could possibly not know money made within a Tfsa is tax free. here you go puppy knows little.. hes going off the short handbook.. lol

Im pretty aware that TFSA yeilds non taxable funds in the way of equity. For a coupon I'm not sure. As you might know, dividends cant be sheltered inside a TFSA so due dilly will be needed to ensure a coupon is eligible. I wont just take Methods word on it. I certainly wont take your word for it, you have no idea whats going on.    Another thing. You boast about continuing to buy ...more

this will turn around.. many outside factors as you should know have affected the mj industry. I wont list but have been or are in process of correcting.. far more money can be made in penny stocks then you may realize. I've done it before I'll do it here.. I dont buy hundreds of shares. i buy many thousands at a time and hold many hundreds of thousands. a half cent rise can be lucrative.. ...more

oh dear. Very rarely is money made on the micro caps, but much is lost. And if you lucked out before, you're one of the few. Its like winning a lottery. Thats literally what it is. So now you're trying to win a second lottery. Degenerate? What sounds more accurate is that you wanted to get in on the cannabis craze and you caught the tail end of it. Late to the game. I don't understand who would want to buy ACB.  they have to sell atm every quarter just to stay solvent and refused to decrease their sg and a to an acceptable level, and continue produce 75% more weed than they sell!  another company with a bigger market cap than fire-TGOD. And they just keep selling more shares to keep the lights on- and less than half the quarterly revenue??  ...more

hey johnale, when was your conversation with IR? was it relatively recent? I wonder who is the point of contact over there now that madelin is gone..... They must know they need to start helping their stock price with substantive NRs.... you know drum up some interest on this stock. It is very much needed

Craig MacPhail is the new IR at supreme.  I keep harping on insider open market buys, and continued transparency with regards to operations/sales/distribution.  apparently they are "working" on it.  we should get a nice bump into USA election though.  VP debate Kamala mention decriminalizing marijuana, dems have a huge lead right now, it's bullish for ...more

So negative. You should be more like Vulcan. He's not worried one bit.
