Let's say the investor doesn't watch their stock. They pre-set a STOP-LOSS order in at $1.47 and a Buyer sets a LIMIT BUY at $1.47 - the 2 transactions converge and the order is filled. The Buyer most likely had a much higher quantity to buy at the $1.47 but it was only matched to the selling quantity.
It's really my best guess. And I agree you can have investors throwing a below-market sell out there in the anticipation of setting a sell-off trend hoping to get back in at a lower SP but not it's hard with 500 shares here and there. We're talking $750 being traded in a market cap of $407,000,000
