RE:Shareholder ValueIt's going to take a while for Canopy's shareholders to digest, but the Supreme acquisition will be a cash cow for them. The Supreme side of the operation will be producing at full capacity in no time, and can be expanded as needed due to Canopy's backing.
Beena is a proven leader, and has shown her value at how fast she was able to turn the company around, it wouldn't suprise me if she leads their Canadian operation while the current Canopy CEO concentrates on the US and international opportunities.
Should be an interesting few years between Canopy and Aphria/Tilray, both companies vying to be the leader within the industry.
Canopy CEO has made some bold predictions recently, can go either way, if they're met it could provide a nice increase in SP, but on the other hand if they fail to meet those expectations!!!!
I might maintain my position, I'm curious to see how they will structure their management team(s) moving foward and once the deal is finalized.
This deal is peaking my interest, if they can considerably reduce their losses, improve their balance sheet, and able to enter the US and international markets in a fiscally responsible manner could be something to follow over the next few years.
Regarding today's news, like everyone I was hoping for a higher SP before any type of deal, but it is beyond our control, and the cost of doing business in the penny stock world. I felt pretty confident they could be successful independently, I have to admit, today's news took me by surprise.
