Okay people jump in here, what would cause Nav to leave? Fowler leaving I get, didn't like him at the helm, but I thought Nav presented himself very well. Could only imagine how that board room conversation went, to be a fly on the wall.

i think it's an obvious transition. The company needs to utilize their existing assets and start generating income.  Nav and John had lots of ideas but they didn't focus enough on CPG and relied on wholesale to build the business. It's obvious that they spent a lot of time planning say five years down the road and missed the boat on key timelines etc. I salute Mr. La Brier for ...more

I believe this to be a good move as well. Clearly Nav was not getting SUpreme to where it should be so they needed a change of guard. I too believe Nav had the expertise to captain the ship nor did he have the appeal that a leading CEO would have. I'm sure he is a great person, like JF, but they were both not ready for this type of job. Shareholders are holding them accountable, and clearly ...more

I have to say that this news is 'freaking unbelievable'. We have recently seen changes with board members and executives and now the CEO is removed. Don't kid yourselves people this is not a step down or an offer from another company, this is a board decision to move to an extremely different direction as I would presume Nav had simliar motives as Fowler. This is a clear 'statement ...more

I will agree that the board voted Nav in but stop and think what that board looked like during Fowler's tenure? I strongly believe that Fowler manipulated the board for his own doing and to ensure that Nav was his replacement. The next guy on the chopping block is Riyaz Lilani another golden parachute brother of Fowler what does he do? Remember I was in Toronto during a business meeting and ...more

This is not a shock bk, Dhaliwal was there when the shake up came and it appears he was the one to take the lead at the time....he came from the government, he does not have the pedigree to be a player at this level at this time. This does not seem like a knee-jerk move to me? The guidance that was delivered by Dhaliwal has someone like Moore's background all over it, Moore does have the ...more

What will come? News of asset writedowns? Guidance reduced? Re-hiring of Fowler as ceo? Tell me vulcan why didnt the board thank Dhaliwal for his service to the company? They thanked Fowler when they canned him . That is standard corporate practice. quote=Vulcan]omg ouch.. bags hold money short.. and it will come[/quote]

Not to worry Vulc, all the prattle from the cakes and the weak is all good as they only waste the time of the winners, the circle jerks are with the losers. This is just part of the overall transition. This is good news for the guidance, as they wouldn't be shopping for, let alone ever have the hope of getting any quality caliber CEO to take the position of a ship headed to the bottom of the ...more
