The holding back of silver production is only a useful strategy if the company can time the market and end up selling the hoarded silver higher than the price when it was hoarded.
Now I agree that this might happen. but I doubt that it is a wise policy for any miner to follow.
In my view, miners should do what they are best skilled at.
That is developing mines and producing metals.
The timing of price should be left to speculators such as you and me.
I don't mind being a speculator on price because I am a trader.
But, I think that the management of mining companies should not be speculators on price.
