I don't understand either, but I don't think it will be down long.  Just keep an eye on the government debt and their funding requirements at the current level of interest rates.  And a recession will balloon the deficit. Over reaction  down  more than $2,00 in less than a month. Yet it takes a struggle to rise again  , baffling  no wonder the industry struggles to get investors,  they get beat down constantly

I'm looking forward to when the mint is operating. I tend to think that Keith might be downplaying just how important and impactful it will be to their bottom line, especially if silver prices continue to hang around $23 (or less) for awhile. Very smart move, in my view. GLTA

Agree. The mint is a good idea. Can't believe what people are still paying for physical  silver.  Spot price is 22.5 but to buy a silver ounce coin you gotta pay around 30 for it.  So the mint will bring in extra money depending on how much they can sell. If they don't sell a lot, the costs of building and operating the mint will not be covered so it could go either way ...more

I like that it seems that the payback period is expected to be low (~year according to their COO if I recall), so it could be scalable and I think I remember Keith saying that they are considering offering their minting services (and roasters at Jerritt) to other producers. That's a great way to make lemonade from lemons in my view,  considering how silver continues to be stuck in a range ...more
