RE:RE:RE:RE:Stock price problem with mediation is often nothing ever comes to an agreement or takes FOREVER. When it goes to the courts, there is no such thing as a speedy and equal ruling and can end in ruin for either side. This is why I am hoping that there is an existing framework in place for a benefits agreement as that would elliminate the need for a drawn out mediation (to which, they wouldnt have signed off the roads if there wasnt some mutual understanding)
If the pipeline fiasco shows anything, there has to be meaningful consultation and adherence to FN wants and needs. They dont have to be addressed but they have to be met with good faith. Which leads us back to mediation. Mediation takes forever. Generally what FN's request is nothing crazy and things we ask others and children to do all the time.
If you going to borrow something, you will pay interest. if you going to borrow something, make sure it stays in good quality and insure it. when you are done with your toys, clean up afterwards etc etc. - generally they dont ask for the moon and back but for some reason we have to get all fancy on the terms and conditions when its literally a wanting of mutual respect for the land that they (FT) is ultimately exploiting that will have repercussions for generations to come after (FT) is done with it (shrugs)
Again, it looks like things are now in motion for actual construction, no longer trying to cut steel with safety scissors... more like a handsaw on a chunk of wood. Yes its doable, but its going to take some sawing :P
