Yes, I get idling ice engines consume fuel. It is done for many reasons, such as to warm the inside above -40. Perhaps EV users dress better when they drive. I suspect you might want to blow some warm air on the windshield to keep it clear. And are you aware their batteries must be heated at these temperatures? Not just when you hop in, but for several hours before you drive. . I any event, it is not a simple determination on efficiency, and progress will be made.
