High-Efficiency Ultrathin Solar Cells

High-Efficiency Ultrathin Solar CellsSome more info on these latest bismuth solar cells. There are many teams around the world endeavouring to improve on contemporary solar cells, however, it seems like this ICFO,Imperial College, University College team using AgBiS2 nanocrystals may have a winner.  Their developments check many of the boxes in terms of material abundance, non-toxic, manufacturability, thinness, utility, cost and power conversion efficiency. There would be very good implications for FT's bismuth reserves if this technology could achieve commercial success. Attached is the URL with more details (including an audio file).
