CIB hints at $100M funding to come for northern mining proj

Wouldn't this be nice ....

At the World Energy Conference in Calgary, CIB CEO Ehren Cory told BNN Bloomberg that the bank is preparing to lend $100 million towards mineral mining infrastructure. ...

He said the bank is preparing to make an announcement about a new critical mineral project in Canada’s north it intends to help fund through infrastructure lending.

“It's a mine, it produces several critical minerals because often mineral deposits are co-located, it is in the north, and it involves active participation of local communities and of Indigenous groups,” Cory said. ...

GEO knows every mine potential ( and operating ) in the NWT .... and can whittle this down to what looks like to me as only one option, assuming that stated criteria is true  we wait ( on GEO)

Hmmm, hope you're right. Says the deposit has several critical minerals, and has a great private company who's leading it. Ha ha. TTF

We won't be fooled by that .... we have 43 plus NDAs and could be that one of them is who they may be referring to as leading this given they make a deal with FT ..... they are not giving 100 mil to just anyone.  I don't know of any other permited mine in NWT with multiple CMs.  may be wishful thinking but if its us, it has to raise ones hackles lol  Maybe ....look ...more

I would discount some of what is said.  "Its a mine" is a red herring.  According to the MVLWB site there are only three mines in the north that are not diamond mines.  Prarie Creek,  Mon, and Nico.  Nechalacho has a bulk sampling permit.  The Mon is gold, so ignore that.  Prarie Creek is private and is a zinc, silver plus deposit.  NICO we know ...more

she said a fs is required.  Not sure ft is still in the running as they don't have one with curren plan.  We wait for either further dilition or belly up. I hope for the former.

I suppose a Northern mining project could entail a project anywhere in Northern Canada, but if by chance it is related to NICO, is it possible it has something to do with the Taltson expansion. ... The Canada Infrastructure Bank (CIB) has announced its plan to invest in critical minerals enabling infrastructure. The CIB will collaborate with government, Indigenous partners and private investors ...more
