Fortis expects stronger US dollar to offset some coronavirus

Fortis expects stronger US dollar to offset some coronavirus"Overall, our utilities that are exposed to changes in sales have seen an approximately 3% decline one month into the pandemic, and that's for the period between mid-March and mid-April."If the reduction in sales holds at that level, it would translate to a negative impact of about 3 Canadian cents per share on the company's stock, CFO Jocelyn Perry said. "One could potentially argue that the tailwind with foreign exchange could certainly mute the impact of any variance that we see as a result of lower sales in those jurisdictions."
