Sales reps/loyalty industry

Sales reps/loyalty industry

Well, bids did come in at 2 cents but now are at 1.5 Anyways, that's the current market.

I'm interested in how the 9 information sessions went in the US, starting at Richmond, Virginia and ending at Houston, Texas on Dec 8th. The job description for independent sales reps who are to be paid commission seems complex. Ideal candidates require a record of self-employment in commission sales or have started a business. Media sales experience is an asset. Solid understanding of marketing strategy, campaign measurement and analysis.

Experience in selling to the automotive sector is an asset. Account management experience, ie: dealing with clients on a regular basis & increasing account engagement/profitability.Entrepreneurial personality, etc.

How can such people be found? They probably are already are making good money elsewhere into the 6-7 figures. Paid commission of 1/2 cent per mile...... to earn gross revenue of $100,000 would require 20 million airmiles. But the sales reps will have to make more than that to cover their expenses also as they will have to hire support staff. The good thing is the income will be quite stable and can be built upon. The value of their territory also will increase which can be sold if they so wish to do so.

From the above, it can be seen that recruiting top sales people required by Futura to do the job well, will take time and training. Although 3rd party currencies are great, it's not that easy and will require a lot of pavement pounding to make it happen. Maybe that's where all the financial resources are being deployed, thus less sign-ups in Canada for the time being.

-----------------

Other notes: I noticed both AIM (Groupe Aeroplan--Aimia) and PTS (Points International) stocks are moving up. Both seem to be breaking out of a 6 month consolidation period. The industry cycle appears to be on the upside. The loyalty industry is still in vogue with investors. And why shouldn't it be, given the money being made. If Futura can get it all together this year,  the loyalty industry momentum should be an asset for the company's stock.

I won't speculate on what's happening with Futura now, nor it's plans for the stock. Let things play out in the coming months. Came this far, grieving how long it has taken. The lack of news is upsetting for some and maybe certain expectations have not been met, but let's give management the chance to show their progress. It's not just one thing they are working on, it's a multitude.
