RE: RE: CLASS ACTION SUIT AGAINST AEROPLAN

RE: RE: CLASS ACTION SUIT AGAINST AEROPLAN

There was ample notification of this change but people just don't bother to read, so any lawsuit should just be thrown out and the people bringing it charged with wasting the courts time... Any miles accumulated prior to the date of the change were 'grandfathered', which meant nothing expired prior to the end of 2013! That gave people SEVEN years to act on the change and use their miles... Is that not adequate time??

You can get an 'expiry' statement from Aeroplan detailing how many miles will expire each quarter after 2013, which I've already done. A lot of people miss the activity clause, but if you have certain credit cards that give Aeroplan miles, they guarantee your account will not become inactive. I have well over 200,000 Aeroplan miles, but only about 15,000 expire in the first quarter of the new program... and about the same in the second quarter... I know I'll use far more than that between now and then, so again, it's not an issue.
