i believe they tried over the years to understand the loyalty reward business. It's obvious they did not know everything. Either they tried something that should have worked out in theory, but did not. Or signed-on merchants where a loyalty program like Aeroplan, for the most part was not really required. Then we wonder why at least 8 car dealerships dropped out.
In over 12 years, they did not progress far on the learning curve. Unfortunately neither did I as a shareholder. Like Futura's "should work in theory" motto, I fell into the same pit with my technical analysis of stock charts.
