Retail Lambs to the Slaughter

OK retails, here is an attempt to slap a bit of common sense into your heads..... 1) An 800 m deep open pit. Think about that for a moment. Now, think about the grade. Think about the strip ratio, which of course you can not, because the release left that little tid bit of information out. (wisely IMO). Do you know that a stip ratio is?  2) A Block cave, think about that for a moment. And then think about their quoted mining costs of $20/t for a block cave. Do you honestly think mining costs for a block cave are $20/t? Do you know what a block cave is?

Did a quick delve into block caving. Seems, yes it is between $18 and $20 per tonne.

And it has a 95% recovery rate to boot.

As well with open pit you can tunnel any where in the pit sideways to do your block and cave. There is no shaft having to be built to the level of high grade. You tunnel vertically at the high grade intercepts
