i hope they get it soon at the termes they want. market/lending conditions changing, corp spreads increasing, time is of the essence,

lack of financing is the part that smells the worst to me. they've had since July ... and in fact:  they've had MUCH longer ... because they should have had a Plan B in their pocket ready to go on the possibility that SS bailed .. which they did.  i realize financing a mine is more complicated than a bake sale ... but how much time do you need? the silence is getting deafening  ...more

Let's be fair.  There is the small matter of a worldwide 2-year ongoing pandemic affecting financing and every single other timeline imaginable. The answer to the question of how much time is need in the current context and environment will be answered when full financing is announced. Let's also remember the Wheaton $240M pre-sale funding deal that's already been announced ...more

According to Kerry there are 9 interested parties so I don't think it's an issue especially when the company has close to 30% of the capx

war and potential global recession is a risk that didn't exist 2 months ago or 1 month ago and is certainly dragging things out now as bankers might now be injecting more delay to see how things evolve. when they are lending 300-600m, anything can have an impact on their risk model. The spike in metals this week and oil are not really ideal when you're setting up large financing, it ...more

Good points AGT. I have posted here before about my experience years ago working on debt and equity issues in a large resource company and how time consuming it was - way more than I ever expected. I doubt things have got any easier in the complex world of today.
