In reviewing this February press release, I would anticipate GLO is gearing up to
re-start the Zinc production operation in the aftermath of the violent Turkey/Syria earthquake and aftershocks that took the lives of well over 50,000 citzens.
The
steel mills are likely to be operating in overtime like never seen before.
GLOBAL ATOMIC UPDATES OPERATIONAL STATUS OF ZINC RECYCLING PLANT IN TURKIYE
Global Atomic Corp.'s joint venture, Befesa Silvermet Turkey (BST), zinc production plant is expected to resume operations in early March, following the earthquake of Feb. 6, 2023. The BST plant sustained only minimal damage and, following a thorough assessment, has been declared operational. The required local infrastructure is operating. The neighbouring steel mills that supply electric arc furnace dust (EAFD) to the plant are also operating.
