Greenlane Renewables Inc > Biden's infrastructure plan

Biden's infrastructure plan

..the emphasis of the plan is directed towards decarbonization..positive for all forms of renewable energy..

"President Joe Biden is turning to his next legislative priority, a $3 trillion pair of infrastructure bills that put climate change front and center. As first reported in the New York Times on Mar. 22, funding will be directed to the electric grid, energy-efficient affordable housing, electric vehicle charging stations, and other clean energy priorities. It follows a $1.9 trillion economic stimulus package signed earlier this month.

The infrastructure package shows that Biden is taking a different approach to the climate crisis than Barack Obama. Rather than centering his climate policy agenda on regulating greenhouse gas emissions from power plants (as Obama did, with his Clean Power Plan), Biden’s priority is to pour money into new technologies and clean energy hardware with a goal to decarbonize the US electricity system by 2035. The administration is betting that leading with a carrot, rather than the stick, will be the fastest, lowest-cost way to make a lasting dent in emissions, while breathing life in to the post-pandemic economy (new emissions regulations from the Environmental Protection Agency will likely follow).

“This could be the most promising opportunity to make progress on decarbonization across the economy that the US has had in a long time,” said John Larsen, director of climate and energy at Rhodium Group, a research firm. “And as far as getting very quick returns on investments, the power sector is the most important place to make progress.”...

Nope I'm not, not sure what that has anything to do with it.  I'm just making an observation, since he took office.

I guess you're just not holding the right stocks. Since Biden won the election Nov 3, the market is up 18.3%, and since Biden took office Jan 20 it is up 6.9%.  GLA

I guess you're correct, Jan 20th GRN closed in the 2.84 and now today a dollar less.  I see your point, I really do lol.

Learning a little charting doesn't hurt. Beware of the "double top". If you check a 3 or 6 month chart for GRN, you will see that the SP hit the high again and started back down. Just about the best example you will ever see. A good time to sell a portion of your shares unless you have a bad case of FOMO. (fear of missing out)

if you are a trader then perhaps your 3-6 month chart analysis may have some meaning...if you are an investor in the company then take a look at the 1 year chart..

I guess it all depends on your mentality. If you're chasing 3 month returns then your logic makes sense. Markets lately have been highly volatile and I'm sure on any given day those numbers will be different, especially if you're quoting the broader market. GRN is a good bet as long as they can continue to grow their order backlog and deliver on contracts. The market can be as ...more

As far as GRN goes, I agree with you completely - it appears to have a great future. I wasn't bashing GRN, I was answering jawstoyz' comment in a factual manner. But your point that the numbers will be different on any given day is incorrect. The last SP (today, price at time of writing) may change, but the SP on Nov 3 and Jan 20 remain fixed forever. I get a bit of a laugh out of posters ...more
