S. Alberta Bakken Oil at Monarch The last TORC Press Release (link below) and current web presentation (link below page 20-22) says a lot about the GSY core Claresholm-Pearce (aka Monarch) area. GSY lands (was 30 sections or so according to their last Corp presentation) are inmediately adjacent to some of the TORC recent drills which TORC says are promising.
The important part here is the statement from private TORC (ex Tristar-Result team now quite visible as they are now taking over VERO for Cardium) about the large oil-in-place (OOIP) numbers in the Monarch/Lethbridge "Southern Alberta Bakken petroleum system" play. They are stating 10-15 million barrels/section OOIP and that it is 2-3X the size of the typical Cardium play. Their words not mine. Cant see that GSY is seeing any real value for their lands in the market yet.
