RE: Security concernsI agree that the security situation is not as unstable as some make it seem, but it is still definitely a serious issue that makes GTE a risky investment. Granted the situation has improved drastically, but if you improvement from terrible to bad doesn't ensure the best investment. Also, in regards to the comment about Pres. Bush and the US Government, I think that if the US intervene in this country in order to show that they will not 'tolerate any hanky panky' it will create more political pressures and could create more turmoil in the country thanks to the plentiful amounts of "anti-americans". Global issues aside, with oil continuing to absolutely skyrocket, GTE has a lot of potential to continue to jump. It's performance definitely is outstanding, as it increased 22-fold since October 2006.
