Very exciting opportunity in Guyana I usually just read the comments here, but I'm so excited I have to jump in.
There are a lot of exciting Juniors right now, and G2 is one of the more exciting options. With Gold heading over $1,800/oz and people a lot smarter than I am calling for $2,000+ in a near term, this one has good revenue/cost potential. I look at Guyana Goldfields (which i call G1 now) for a rough idea of AISC and can see that it is close to $1,400/oz (kind of high in my opinion for a pit operation), but let's use that. At current POG - $380/oz profit. at project POG $600+/oz profit.
Then we turn our minds to proving up ounces. They are drilling a known strike and have shown it to be several km long - lots of potential for 4+ Moz
But, for me the exciting part is a 1 liner from their financial statements: "There are currently artisanal workings on one of the Guyana Project properties and the operators pay production royalties to the Company which are reflected as royalty revenue."
Most Juniors pay for pre-drilling exploration (GeoPhysical surveys, trenching, sampling, assaying ...). And from that, they formulate educated guesses as to where the drill should go. Given that previous workings, surveys, drill holes provide great guidance too.
But G2, may actually be earning royalties (albeit small) and receiving revenue for these artisanal miners to essentially find targets for their drills.
Once they have shown enough continuity in their current targets, they just have to drop a drill around an abandoned artisenal operation to see what's underneath and if there is continuity.
Then you have a new strike - or a few more strikes and possibly another open pit operation (G1 was an open pit with underground workings planned).
All aspects of these targets in Guyana are so exciting - and I haven't even dug into the Sandy Lake prospects too much.
It's all very exciting and now is the time to get into this - price seems high right now compared to 3 months ago, but 3 months from now the current price will seem cheap.
