Through three NCIBs, the company has bought back
- 33.2 million shares (22.2% of the company)
- at an average purchase price of $6.08,
- in other words, roughly $170 million has been spent on buybacks.
Shares outstanding as of 10th of May, 2022 is
115.3 million shares. The current NCIB has around
0.567 million shares left until it's completed.
Interesting - as I've been comparing GUD share buybacks with the way PLB was bought back.
To be equivalent - we'd end up buying over $240M in GUD shares.
On track ... IMO.
... aaaaand of course I looked at the wrong column when writing down the numbers, haha.
The 33.18 million is for "total shares approved for buy-back" over the three NCIBs. The actual buyback count is 27.95 million shares, or about 19.5% of the company... which then adds up to $170 million. :)
