RE:RE:Resource Limits Can't argue with that opinion, lashing. The only premise to hang one's hat upon is "fundamentals don't matter - until they do".
Investors can no longer trust government data because everything is manipulated. We must assure ourselves that saudi and Russia have the desire to stay the course, that the EIA monthly data 'revises' to the draw side, that Biden isn't panicked into a desperate SPR release and that Chinese recovery is assured.
With regard to Gear, there is very little in the way institutional ownership. Insiders are the largest owners of Gear by percentage as reported. Reserves and ARO obligations are worrying and Gear's perpetual reliance on 'enhanced recovery' does not translate into growth. In my opinion, it merely slows decline.
Unless there is a rapid appreciation in the price of oil, like Q2/22, Gear is unlikely to draw any interest from generalist investors. The only path to that result is if the physical market no longer enables the financial market, ie: demand outpaces supply. When the music stops, there are not enough chairs or, the emperor has no clothes.
Without such a catalyst, Gear will fade into obscurity as is sheds liquidity and believers.
